UDP800 is the entry-level of Magetar.
Brushed aluminium front panel with a solid, highly rigid metal frame to greatly improve audio and video performance, with a characteristic frame structure of the 1.6 mm thick double layer and a 3 mm steel plate below the base, which reduces vibration and noise generated during playback. The main internal components, including reading mechanics and power supply, are independently shielded to reduce external magnetic fields. The power supply is via a 60W high-powered and low-noise transformer, with filtering and Rubycon electrolytic capacitors, to meet the high energy demand of the transients required by surround sound systems and high-resolution audio. It can play DVD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD discs and even media files, thanks to the support of h265 and H264. UDP800 supports HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision with an extraordinary conversion from HDR to SDR, with support of the color space BT.2020/BT.709/BT.601 and upscaling 4K. It can decode DSD64/128, multichannel DSD64 and PCM formats at 192kHz/24 bits with support for audio files AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC and WAV. Supports different disk formats, such as UHD-BD, BD, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD-R/RW, and also supports USB HDD up to 16 TB, with direct access from the computer or NAS through the local network through the best DLNA or multimedia protocols. The internal audio converter adopts two independent Burr-Brown PCM 1795 DACs, which process the left channel and right channel respectively and followed by an OP-AMP MUSES8920 with XLR or RCA outputs plated in gold.
