ARIA MK III

Technology

The Air is a PRE-PHONO " analog-Puro " without digital control circuits. The aluminium case shields the internal circuit from any RFI signals. Our designers have avoided including any superfluous gadget to avoid signal degradation and maintain the signal path and the quality of the signal as short as possible.

Air incorporates many innovative design ideas, including a self-adjusting servo control to maintain the MC input circuit at its optimum level, compensating for any changes in ambient or operating temperature.

Both stages have separate input circuiting and separate and dedicated circuit lines, which allowed us to design customized input circuits for each type of cartridge without compromise. Signal switching is performed at high level and low impedance (via relay) ensuring that there is no signal degradation.

MC Stage Design and Features

The MC input uses FET (Field Effect Transistor) connected in parallel and low noise. The use of FET transistors ensures that there is no polarization current flowing in the cartridge coil so as not to disturb the delicate magnetic geometry of the cartridge. The MC input allows you to select a resistive input load from 70 ohm to 400 ohm and a capacitive load from 1000 pF to 4200 pF. The input sensitivity can be modified by 6dB through the rear panel.

Design and characteristics of MM Stage

The MM input uses low noise bipolar input transistors. There are two separate power supplies for each channel and additional sub-powers for each of the low noise input circuits. Nichicon FG electrolytic capacitors have been used in critical positions in all power supplies. Polypropylene capacitors were used in signal path and equalization networks. Discrete circuits are used throughout the signal path ensuring performance and reliability over time
